The Madeleine School Open House for Prospective Students & Families

The Madeleine School, offers faith-based Catholic k-8 and along with the Madeleine Parish has been a part of the Alameda neighborhood for over 100 years, serving generations of Alameda families. The Madeleine School, with full-day kindergarten through 8th grade, invites you to join us for our Open House events. We are a faith-filled Catholic community committed to nurturing the growth of the whole child with weekly Mass, full-day kindergarten, before and after-school care, music, art, PE, middle school Spanish, daily hot lunch, after-school choir and strings orchestra, Tech Club, reading resource specialists, and an on-site counselor. Prospective Parent Information Night Monday, February 1 at 7pm Come hear all about the school from Principal Susan Steele, Father Mike Biewend and current parents. Visit the classrooms and enjoy conversations with current parents. Open House and Family Tours Tuesday, February 2 from 10am – 1pm Bring your child for a tour of the school and see the teachers and current students in action. Alameda Haunted House

Enter through the mouth of the green monster–if you dare!  On Halloween the Alameda Neighborhood Association is again hosting the very popular Alameda Haunted House–a spooktacular affair aimed at kids ages 4-12. Now in its third year, the haunted house is known in northeast Portland as not-to-be-missed Halloween attraction a for trick-or-treaters. Alameda Haunted House Saturday Oct. 31, 2015, 5-9 pm FREE 3900 block of NE 28th between Dunkley & Bryce Last year over 600 children and neighbors visited the Alameda Haunted House a for a frightfully good time with spooks, witches, haunting sounds, creepy sights and glowing other-worldly lights. This year organizers have added new themes, special effects and surprises. As always there will be lots of candy for trick-or-treaters! Haunted House will run rain or shine! Note: street closure of NE 28th Ave between Dunkley and Bryce in effect from 8 am on 10/31. Any donations will benefit Alameda neighborhood projects.
